A class which focuses on the fundamentals of contemporary technique whilst allowing students to explore imaginative movement. The class is suitable for all levels.

What is contemporary dance?

Contemporary dance is an expressive dance form that brings together elements of several different dance genres, modern art and theatre. Dancers are encouraged to connect their body and mind through movement and technique whilst challenging and revealing their creativity and personality.

What to wear

We want you to wear what makes you feel comfortable. However it is important to dress appropriately for movement. Socks or bare feet, leggings, shorts, vests or t-shirts usually work well. Long hair should be tied up, wearing jewellery should be avoided and clothing should be stretchy. Please speak with us if you are unsure.

WHEN CAN I START?

From September 2016. We welcome you to join us at any of the below classes.

Mondays 6:30 - 7:30 at Alleyn's School Dance Studio
