The day I met Darcey...

Last week I was honoured to receive my Diploma in Dance Teaching from the president of the Royal Academy of Dance Darcey Bussell. Darcey was a Principal dancer of The Royal Ballet for almost 20 years, making her one of the most famous British dancers of our generation. Darcey kindly took the time to have a cup of tea and a chat to everyone who was celebrating that day. I can confirm that she was as wonderful as she seems!

For me, this certificate means that I have registered teaching status from the Royal Academy of Dance. This allows me to enter students for ballet exams under the RAD.

A day I will treasure forever!

Stage Fright

Well Hello!

We are so excited to get our new site up and running! As this is our first ever blog post, in true dancer style we have a bit of stage fright.

This first post is to say hello and to give you an idea of what you can expect. We look forward to telling you about the most recent performances we've seen. We will give you a sneak peek at our favourite things to eat (and no it's not all kale and avocado). We'll try not to annoy you with our latest obsessions in music and choreography and we'll be interviewing some of our favourite fitness gurus. So you can look forward to updates about the fun we are having and our views on all things dance and wellbeing.

Finally, we promise to try not to take ourselves too seriously!
